Petra was cleverly projected behind a natural canyon, created by tectonic forces.
This tortuos path that leads to Petra is known as the "Siq".
The "Siq" hampered Petra´s access from enemies...
Everyday people from all continents cross this canyon...
Most of them by foot...
And some of them by horses...
They all end at the most magnificent view of Petra:
