Mini Magic Ball - NO TAPE!!!

Stuck? I did an easier-to-follow redo of this tutorial here: https://youtu.be/75GQfxhWxVg [Intermediate] How to fold the Mini Magic Ball (designed by Yuri and Katrin Shumakov - www.ori land.com ) using a new easier method that uses no tape or glue. In this tutorial I show how to fold it from a 4.25- inch X 11.5-inch rectangle which is simply half a sheet of letter-sized printer paper. It also works from half a sheet of A4 paper (I tried it!)... On the initial pleating sequence, you'll end up having to make one extra pleat to complete the fan, but it still happens to come out perfectly with an odd number of sections along the length, so you don't need to cut anything off. It can also be folded from a US dollar bill (3X7 rectangle) and I have a separate tutorial for that: https://youtu.be/0BoW0Kw0zo0 This is the Mini Magic Ball, but I have another tutorial for the full original Magic Ball here: https://youtu.be/W-ms0cyJ64Q The Magic Ball and related designs were published in the book "Origami Magic Ball Wonders" available on Amazon: www.amazon.com/dp/1505835054 or the digital version: www.ori land.com/store/ebooks/main.php Upon purchasing this book I now see that it contains a method for folding the Mini Magic Ball without tape (dating back to 1996!), but my method is different in at least three ways: 1. The folds in my method are made from a different angle which saves the folder from having to reverse dozens of creases 2. My method avoids having to make a diagonal grid in both directions 3. The final lock uses a one-unit overlap instead of two which is a little more efficient in its use of paper.
