Hey there I'm going to give you a couple of idiomatic expressions that you can hopefully use on IELTS speaking. When something frightens you say, “it scares the life out of me”; for instance, “looking into the dark scares the life out of me”, OK? scare the life out of me. Or you can say, “it gives me the fright of life, I get the fright of life, walking through the graveyard gives me the fright of life,” ok? Or you can say, “I dread doing something, I dread the prospect of doing something, I cannot think what it would be like sometime down on the road in the future, the sound of technology, that scares the hell out of me!”
